Fees and Insurance

Fee Schedule

All NeuPathways fees are guided by the Australian Psychological Society (APS) Schedule of Recommended Fees.

Assessment Fees

Before any assessment, an initial telephone consultation will determine the assessment’s purpose, discuss specific questions, and clarify fees. A comprehensive neuropsychological assessment includes:

Initial phone consultation
Up to five hours of assessment time
Detailed neuropsychological report
Feedback appointment to explain results and provide recommendations

Cancellation Fees

Fees for cancelled appointments are as follows:

0-24 hours notice	Full fee
24-48 hours notice	50% of the fee
48 hours to 7 days’ notice	25% of the fee
More than 7 days notice	No fee

Insurance

Medicare: Currently, no Medicare rebates are available for neuropsychological services in NSW.
Private Health Insurance: Some private health insurers may offer partial coverage for neuropsychological assessments. Please check with your insurance provider.
NDIS: The assessment fee may be covered through a current NDIS support package or through another support service. Please consult your NDIS provider or support coordinator.

Obtaining a Referral

A referral is typically not required, but it is recommended that you obtain one from your doctor. A referral letter should include a list of any concerns your doctor has about your cognitive health, a summary of your medical history including any diagnoses and current medications.

Note: A referral from a medical practitioner is required for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) diagnostic assessments.
